Yeeeeeeeeeeeee-haaaaaaaawwwwwwwww!

Yesterday, Mr. PinkLogician became Mr. PinkLogician, PhD!

The defense was less grueling than we both expected, although there was a moment when one of the committee members interrupted Mr. PL's opening remarks with some scary sounding, seemingly project-undermining questions. Mr. PL ably managed those, however, and all of the questions during the actual examination part of the proceedings. I was quite impressed!

I think the coolest thing about the whole process was hearing our professors bring up issues and arguments Mr. PL and I had talked about years ago. In particular, there was some discussion of an argument Mr. PL and I hashed out in a long conversation on the balcony of what would be our first home together (at the time, I had just moved in) just after our engagement.

The best part of the whole thing, though, is that it took all of 30 seconds for the committee to deliberate and pass my husband. Although I know how brilliant he is, it was just super-cool.
